The qualified candidate will be solely responsible for the technology
acquisition required for new Global Trading System project. This
engagement is expected to conclude in the fourth quarter of 2009.
Responsibilities to include:
Work with a cross matrix team (comprised of functional, technical,
legal, financial, and business area subject matter experts) to assess
and develop business requirements, proposals, and RFXs.
Facilitate, manage, and execute the technology acquisition process:
Solely lead the vendor negotiations
Perform product financial analysis and benchmarks
Work closely with the internal stakeholders to capture their requirements
so as to protect the needs of the project.
Negotiate all business and legal terms with the vendors
Ensure the appropriate contracts are put in place for the project.
Oversee the appropriate delivery of the products and services as
dictated in the terms and conditions of the respective contracts.
Required Experience
Extensive knowledge of best practice procurement strategies to
utilize when negotiating with large technology manufacturers such
as Cisco, EMC, HP, and IBM..
Strong understanding of business and legal terms & conditions.
MUST HAVE 3-5+ years of technology strategic sourcing experience
within a corporate environment
CPM, CTPE certification and/or MBA highly preferred
Demonstrated persuasion and negotiation skills, outstanding communication
abilities, capacity to handle multiple priorities.
Bachelors degree in Business, Computer Science, or Law
