Responsible for Product Life Cycle Management system implementation,
configuration and administration, a multi-faceted role involving
enterprise system design, operations, integration, application development,
database administration and operating system support. Leverage system
resources across all global business locations and evolving IT technologies
business solutions for global Product Development Engineering, QA,
Manufacturing and related business areas. PTC Windchill document
management and collaborative product suite are the primary development
and support areas. Use these products and the Oracle DB for development
with particular focus on Enterprise Content Management and Collaborative
tools. Provide call escalation support to PLM/CAx Helpdesks in North
American and Europe. Vide support for PLM applications to achieve
business process objectives. This may include working with vendors
and outside contractor resources. Responsible for managing user,
group and role definitions, access controls and developing software,
user processes, workflows and controls in compliance with all regulatory
requirements. Advise and mentor the business units in efficient
and effective use of the PLM system. Know and comply with all applicable
company Work Instructions and policies in working with and advising
users of the PLM system. To work on various other projects as directed
by PLM/CAx Manager and IT management.
Position Duties and Responsibilities
Provide PLM System design, implementation, analysis, integration
services and support to business units for applying company specific
standards to product design data flow and business processes executed
by use of PLM System applications.
Identify and mitigate risks to ensure PLM application, process
and data integrity.
Troubleshoot PTC Windchill technical issues and develop timely
solutions, providing excellent customer support and service.
Application Development utilizing server side Java technologies,
JavaScript, JSP, JMS, HTML, XML, Soap, JDBC and Oracle DB/SQL knowledge
to facilitate business processes.
Conduct research for business process development and formulate
recommendations.
Track and report all incidents and support calls, route to
IT Help Desk as appropriate.
Manage PLM user account, group, role definitions, access
controls and authorizations.
Develop and deploy corporate standard PLM application configuration
settings.
Coordinate corporate PLM System software maintenance and
upgrades.
Continuous development of knowledge in PTC products, Java,
Oracle and other technologies involving the Windchill solutions.
Provide support to PLM System users when incidents are escalated
or assigned.
Know and follow all laws and policies that apply to ones
job, and maintain the highest levels of professionalism, ethics
and compliance at all times.
Diligently participate in our compliance program-related
activities as denoted by your supervisor or our Chief Compliance
Officer.
Other duties as assigned.
Professional Skills and Experience Requirements
5 years experience with system analysis, development, implementation
and support for Engineering, QA, Manufacturing,, CAD, CAM, CAE,
PDM, or PLM is required.
Experience working in Product Development, Design, Drafting,
or Document Control in a 21 CFR compliant Medical Device manufacturing
environment is required.
Firm working knowledge of Computer Aided Engineering and
Manufacturing applications, 3D solid modeling and drafting, CAD
data management and electronic document change management is required.
Operating m administration skills including UNIX, Tomcat
and Apache.
Application development using Pro/TOOLKIT, JSP, JMS, HTML,
XML, SOAP, JDBC and Oracle DB/SQL is desirable.
PTC Windchill infrastructure design, development and support
experience is a plus.
PTC Windchill Training Certification is a plus.
Experience with MS Windows XP operating system.
Knowledgeable with Microsoft Office products.
Excellent Customer Service and support skills.
Excellent written communication skills.
Excellent oral communication skills, able to communicate
effectively at all levels of the organization.
Self-motivated individual who can work independently.
Must be available after hours and/or weekends to provide
remote and on site technical support as needed.
Must be available for foreign and domestic travel to remote
sites approximately 30% of the time on the job.
Education
BS in Engineering or Computer Science or equivalent work experience
required.
